About the artist

"The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and science."    - Albert Einstein, 1931

Margrit Schwarz is a photographer working at the intersection of art and science. Forever fascinated by shapes, forces, and patterns in both natural and urban environments, she uses intentional camera movement and multiple exposure techniques to create images that convey a sense of transition and motion. Scale and context are deliberately absent from many of her images, inviting the viewer to explore their own perceptions of reality. The challenge of abstracting the essence of a scene is the driving force behind Margrit's photographic work.
