Current Projects: Citylife: Adventures In Deconstructivism

Borrowing concepts from Deconstructivism, I am using in-camera multiple exposures to randomly create visual fragmentation and rearrangement of architecture and urban scenes. Initially prompted by my reaction to some of Frank Gehry's buildings, I've expanded the technique to random street scenes - the most mundane subjects can take on new identities when multiplied... ! My images are an attempt to make sense of urban chaos by creating new and unpredictable shapes that intentionally show little resemblance to the original, yet still express the essence of its character, along with my perception of it.
